The RISE OF INDIE INDIA

Indie is the way to groove! It’s time we discussed the vibrant indie music scene in India. Join us as we explore the unique sounds, creative storytelling, and emerging artists in Indian indie music. Discover everything from alternative rock to folk fusion and the latest independent music trends

WHAT INDIE? WHY INDIE?

Indie music, short for independent music, is the rebel of the music world. It’s like the renegade artist painting outside the lines, creating sonic masterpieces free from the constraints of mainstream labels. Indie artists are the pioneers of authenticity, crafting their tunes with raw passion and unbridled creativity. It’s what you’d call “the sound of freedom” Unlike for the West, to India, indie is still a very raw and in-the-exploring phase.
Why indie? Because it’s like discovering a secret menu at your favorite restaurant. For years, our ears were tuned to the beats of Bollywood, the mainstay of Indian music which by the way will always remain classic. But now, the scene is shifting. Indie music is the fresh breeze we didn’t know we needed, bringing raw, unfiltered sounds that break free from the formulaic rhythms of mainstream tunes. It is new, hot, and all in!
